Everything else is noise.

  1. BB - Thanks for the write up on KCLI and life insurers. Another thing in it's favor is that it has a tad more volume than NWLI, which is not saying much.

  2. 2nd - Really like the song and the duo of S & G. Don't hear too much of Garfunkel nowadays. Too bad they parted. Surprised to find that he has a Masters in Math and even worked some on a PhD.

  3. I am not much on fireworks or the crowds so I have passed on going with the grand kids last evening and tonight at the Peoria riverfront. Now billed as the largest display in Illinois because Chicago opted out completely this year because of budget constraints. The Peoria mayor is not as smart as Rahm Emanuel.

  6. I just love these type of photos...Your telling me the 'other' 23 is 9? Kendra beat her all day. BTW, Kendra is the second tallest player on her team and above average height for her age.

  7. Here's a cool pic of how easy Kendra got her off balance. She scored on this play...

Sunday was 2-0-1. They beat the 11th and 4th ranked teams in Nor. Cal. The tie was 2-2 and both of the other teams goals were on PK's. They also happened to be the hosting team and the last one came right as the horn blew to end the game. Too funny.

  15. Took 1/3 of my NLS off at $1.84 to $1.90...Also bought some SPY $134 August puts at $2.9 avg because I think we test 1,300 again.

  16. Stay awake guys...At the close :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. AAPL, GOOG is up this morning. Hopefully it means SPY closes up.

    ReplyDelete
  18. DJIA will close green again. Probably by >=100 points.

  19. BAC - These guys are really something else, aren't they?

  20. COOL looks ready to really ramp higher. As such I added some more shares at $3.06 with the NLS shares I sold

    ReplyDelete
  21. Added a couple of more August $134 SPY puts at $2.78

  22. Big battle going on here. Might pick a side...

  23. XRA - Hmm, cold today hot tamale? Chili-pepper with that?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Added some more COOL at $3.08...if this breaks the magical $3.15 area I would have to imagine it races higher.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Added a few more SPY $134 August Puts at $2.64

    ReplyDelete
  26. CP- Any fundamental reason for XRA?

    TOF-(COOL)...I'm staring at the sucker.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Nothing's at a pivot for me to trade here. Crap.

    ReplyDelete
  28. TOF- NLS has a pivot @ 1.75. Interested?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mark > then dont force it man. I personally think it's a great trade here to go short/buy puts in the SPY. I think we eventually break the 1,250 level but its at that point that we should buy

    ReplyDelete
  30. No, I only scalp on pivots. I wont force anything. Learned that lesson the hard way.

    ReplyDelete
  31. XRA - Mark, "Totally clueless" comes to mind. Just another crappy little exploration company burning cash in Chile, as far as I know... Should rally to the moon. Yea, right! ;)

Wondering if there's more than meets the eye or more of the SOS "buyer beware, stay the hell away fool!". I might be capable of providing valuable insight assuming I had a clue as to how evaluate any explorer, no less one with operations in Chile...

    ReplyDelete
  32. CP- OK :)). Find us something interesting. I'm getting bored!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Going short? I'm gonna wait till the consolidation is over and we hit that upper trend line again, north of $1400. Shouldn't be much risk there I must say, LOL!

After all, the SPY P/E is still undervalued, corporate profits are flying higher and higher, and they're loaded to the gills with butt loads of cash...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Chicken > I'm not saying it's the wise move to short SPY/buy puts. I personally am about 99.5% long with 0.5% in SPY puts so I'm banking on a move higher over time.

    ReplyDelete
  35. "Find us something interesting."

Meat and potatoes? We've moved on to desert. Chocolate flavor NEM is all I got right now, or maybe a little vanilla GG.

Sorry, really feeling lazy after last week's big meal. I've got nothing else eatable...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ok bought some BGZ...at $32.95...my thinking is the late to the game buyers will hope for more gains for about another 24 hrs and then after realizing there is no follow through, they will sell...and the market will dip back down to 1,290 to 1,300 fairly quickly. Then we will get a gap up on the debt ceiling raise which will present a good opportunity to re-short until SPY hits 1,220. Then it will be time for another long...

So basically I think it's now a good market to trade.

    ReplyDelete
  37. TOF - Dude, the great thing about our forum is we can bounce ideas off one another in sincerity.

You wanna go short big or small, it's all part of your hedging strategy or whatever. I don't want to nor do I intend on interfering with any of that. ;)

Just expressing my own personal perspective based on my perceptions which may or may not be in the ballpark of reality.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mark - I'll definitely keep ya' in mind though, should something fall into my lap. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. CP > yep absolutely. I'm personally just trying to trade what I think is setting up. I think this market is going to try it's hardest to screw with as many people as possible this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  40. BEXP - LOL, how does one effectively trade that constant $1 stride? I'm pretty sure you've gotta have a reasonable set of tools to succeed and a man like me's gotta know his limitations...

    ReplyDelete
  41. FRO - How low can FRO go? Apparently lower...
