seems like too quick of a re-test of the 50 DMA...maybe it wants to move down to the 100 DMA and make a higher low. just under $3 perhaps...maybe like $2.95? momentum seems to have faded in the technicals.
the more interesting setup in my opinion is NOK. the way it's ping ponging between the 50DMA and the 100 DMA is similar to the nat gas ping pong between the 50 dma and the 200 dma a month ago.
Good thoughts. Thanks. Perhaps I'll be more patient if that's Fing possible...Although laying out $60K for a new SUV for Patricia won't hurt. Jeeze, I thought they would be about 40ish.
1st, he was trying to sell the top-down concept, the problem with that is hiring doesn't begin until demand for goods and services returns.
2nd, I don't believe he intends on representing the best interests of the middle class(based on closed-door conference with his supporters).
3rd, he has not disclosed his campaign backers, who's lurking behind the curtain providing the financing? It seems like the energy industry has a presence there, he only proposed producing more of the same transportation fuels, what about NG, is there no story there (lie by omission)?
4th - Um, why does the Republican party completely refuse ownership of the financial system crash, it was a work in progress as Obama took office as I recall. No, they try to lay it on Obama.
5th - He admits he wants to cut funding for PBS, which translates to supporting "dumb-ya-down" TV, IMO. TV land is bad enough as it is, imagine if PBS became more compromised.
I'm not attempting to claim Obama's complete innocence, there are several ares he made scant progress, such as tax reform for example. This item he emphasized during his campaign was the need to simplify tax code.
Romney isn't just a liar, he's a cheat too. You know, the debate is supposed to be without notes, charts, external help. No surprise Romney is also NOT the Amazing Kreskin, Houdini or Teller.
"The numbers are cooked" Ha, as far as I can tell, the Reps are masters at cooking numbers.
What I admire most is the Swiss, Cayman and Bermuda bank accounts, a $77k tax break for a Dressage horse to complement eight homes with elevators for classic car storage.
So anyone who didn't plan ahead by buying yesterday gets hosed by buying today, complete with a fakeout yesterday just to hose those who were almost right a day in advance.
Just got back from 2 weeks golfing in Ireland - doesn't seem like I missed much. SPY went from 145.87 to 146.14 with a dip in the middle, so all I missed was the opp to maybe buy a stock or 2 cheaper.
Ireland is a beautiful country with outstanding golf, but the Irish economy doesn't seem that great. Lots of people looking for jobs and many people looking to leave the country (Canada is the preferred destination due to common heritage and language and lots of job opportunities). Even good IT developers having a tough time over there. I kind of wonder about the long perm prognosis for that country. Weather seems pretty crappy, job prospects seem dim, small economy, and with the Euro, people can work anywhere in Eurozone.
PC business is mature, but at a forward P/E of 4, I'd say this is priced in. Whitman did a great job at Ebay although it was a growing company, not a turnaround, but regardless, she seems well respected.
I guess the real question is HPQ becoming the next DEC or Sony, or will they be able to turn things around? It is hard to imagine a world without HPQ given their huge footprint around the world.

ReplyDeleteNSPH - I'm anticipating a lower price within the next few sessions, as opposed to a higher one.
ReplyDeleteMight yield a decent entry, I hope to add...
I hope your right. One mini break of the flag?? Say, 3.20ish????
DeleteWell, I was thinking low $3's, like sub $3.10 but maybe even high $2's I'll add somewhere in-between.

DeleteAny thoughts about the debate last night?
ReplyDeleteTwo things: I don't think Obama was at his best, and Romney is a liar.
Deletei didn't watch it. not really interested in politics to be honest.
DeleteCP- Give me two points he was lying about. I'm not that up to date.
DeleteRomney - Vagueness is lying by omission.

I'm checking in here all the time.

DeleteMovie and concert tickets...Man, CSTR just continues to reinvent itself.
ReplyDeleteCoffee now too. I can't imagine it will be great, but probably helps in some locations where there isn't a Starbucks.....if there is such a place.
DeleteINTC - Div is 4%, more than a 30yr mortgage rate.
ReplyDelete$USD - Strange the dollar is off, considering the employment report.
ReplyDeleteUWM - Up 2% since I bot and sold it after being faked out yesterday...
ReplyDeleteCP- Thanks for the comments above.
ReplyDeleteTWM - Bid @ $24.63, in case we see a new high.
ReplyDeleteNLY - $16.65 is today's goal for longs.
ReplyDeleteWonder how much lower the panic can take this one?

Are we to believe these conspiracy theorists don't read the WSJ?

TZA @ 14.18
ReplyDeleteHDGE @ 20.42
ReplyDeleteYRCW - I really like the fact there's no volume to speak of, considering there may be no sellers how can shorts cover in case of good news?
ReplyDeleteToday's high will be in low 80's, tomorrow's high will be low 50's
ReplyDeleteSo this afternoon I'll be jumping on a slalom ski for probably the last time this year.
I like the TZA call for a trade.
ReplyDeleteactually maybe i don't. stochastics and macd suggest new highs.
DeleteJust shoot me. PPP was a Landry pick that didn't trigger. I front ran it and made some small change and since it didn't trigger, sold it.
ReplyDeleteAt the peak this AM it was up 46%. I would have made a quick over night $6K.
We all know how that feels, bro.

ReplyDeleteI would have gone short too if I could have stayed home. GJ.
Deletei bought a few AAPL puts that expire today...$665 strike at $8.2875 avg.
ReplyDeleteLook at the volume in SDS.
ReplyDeleteSo anyone who didn't plan ahead by buying yesterday gets hosed by buying today, complete with a fakeout yesterday just to hose those who were almost right a day in advance.
ReplyDeleteOr something like that! ;)
Closed the AAPL puts at $11.
ReplyDeleteVery nice trade.
Deletethanks man! good trading on your end too. have a good weekend fellas.
DeleteHDGE closed @ 20.60
ReplyDeleteSDS
ReplyDeletevol may be due to a 1:4 split
Hmmm...OK. I can't figure out why though. Any ideas?
DeletePicked up some more YRCW at $6.72
ReplyDeleteDouble bottom potential in CMG...RSI7 = 10
ReplyDeleteWhat happened here? Simply over bought?
Delete3D Printing-Is this viable forward? I think so but now seems pricey. Then again I am such a scrooge.

that may be so but the chart of IRE looks solid.

Sure is tempting, huh? DELL isn't hemorrhaging money though, quite like HP?
DeleteThese guys need to reinvent themselves to some degree? Perhaps 3D printing?
Or maybe the beat-down is pure and simple WS BS and those gaps down will be filled this time next year?
CSTR - Will this one bottom out around, say $40 in early Dec (7th or so), then rally to reach $70 in early July 2013?
