    2. 2nd - In looking at the moves in DELL, RIMM, NOK, and HPQ I would say that now is still a really good time to buy SNE. It could run to $15 pretty quickly.

  2. LOL!!!

ouch... Phil Falcone's Harbinger $HRG priced an offering of 20M shares at $7.50/share, a 27% discount

  4. FYI - I can't remember who else followed me into this POS Penny stock but I'm still holding it. I think it has a couple more days of consolidation as people that are happy to get out at breakeven bail. And then it should run higher.

    1. Should be a good stock to hold for a couple of years - lots of pent up auto demand.

Picked up a smallcap auto parts supplier in Canada, but looking around for another. Going with the suppliers seems to take some risk off the table as you are not dependent on a few models.

  8. TBT sure is a nice looking chart and looks like it may be starting to break upwards, but this has had so many fakeouts that have turned back down, it is really hard to know if this is the one.

    Gotta happen sometime though.

  9. SNE 30 wema comes in at 12.46, if we can clear 14ish hurdle there is no congestion till 16. So TOF's run to 15 very likely.

  11. I really like that SID stock. Kind of wish I bought that one just because of the divvy. I think it goes to $10 and it pays a 7% dividend. Its part of what I was saying a couple of weeks ago: buildout in Brazil in preparation for the Olympics. I think that's a theme that will do well, especially given how beaten down Brazil is.

    1. SID is still interesting here. This stock ran from Dec 11 to Feb 12 for a 46% gain.

  12. Okay freaks....in the 1969 sense.....

MDBX (medbox) is up 50% today after 40% moves for several days on an Arizona judge approving their medical marijuana law. MDBX's manufacturer is AVT (AVTC) both traded on the pink sheets.
AVTC is up over 80% today and I traded it for 20% of that before jumping out.
I'm waiting for the inevitable pullback but these things can make crazy runs off of pullbacks and breaking news on additional business. As 2nd says, "pass the dube".

Oh....AVTC also supplies Marley Coffee (yes, THAT Marley) who uses them to sell Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. They manufacture a lot of vending machines for various co's including Blue Rhino propane, Walmart, etc. These kind of moves, while VERY volatile, make SNE look pedestrian. Still holding SNE!

AVTC up 89% as I press publish...

    1. Nice reentry into SNE yesterday morning around 10.14, bro.

I don't trust the long side (in general) right now, which probably means we rocket higher.

      Delete
    2. Okay, this is scary.....AVTC up 141%

But, if a few more states legalize I could see this thing making an s load of $$$$$$$

      Delete
    3. haha. AVTC's press release is a first I've never seen before:
      http://finance.yahoo.com/news/avt-announces-3rd-quarter-2012-141000703.html

They're quoting an analyst right in the earnings announcement. Now that is a first. It's gotta be a buy then right!?!

    4. Holy shit...it doesn't end there. I just pulled up MDBX and right at the top of the news headlines is a press release where the company is talking about their record volume day. To the moon alice! Unfreaking believable.

    5. MJNA kind of intrigues me but I am highly skeptical of the numbers they're putting out.

    6. Look at CBIS too. There's also a testing lab but my short term memory gets iffy around this stuff and I forgot the ticker.

SNE could rally for a while with only small pullbacks. That option buyer yesterday is going to be filthy rich in a few weeks.

  16. UNG - Wow, what a surprise. The inventory report must not have been bullish?

    1. I still haven't gotten the buy signal on it. It's getting close. Just need it to make a turn. UGAZ is going to be a nice trade very soon.

  17. SID this really is a compelling chart.
    Positives:
    A double bottom from 08.
    sideways base for seven months.
    positive stochastic monthly and weekly
probably need a 15% stop loss

    Negatives:
    below 30 wema
volume mixed but three months ago spiked
17.7% off its low of 4.63
    daily stochastic rolling over

I think this should be bought, the only questions is here or try to wait for softer prices.

    1. T3d - It looks like it wants to consolidate the gains instead of pull back. So if you are compelled to buy then I would buy a starting position at the low end of the recent range: i.e., around $5.40. If it does fill the gap then I would add if the RSI_EMA hits 50 and bounces. On the bounce I would add the rest. That's just my belief on the short term trading. Longer term it's going much higher so any entry here should be fine.

    2. I agree with everything you say.

The other thing I just looked at is block volume for the month of Dec, they have been buying all month with today actually the lowest amount.

  18. The market looks good here...love the much needed pullback to work off some steam. I completely agree with this guy's take:

    http://www.objectivetrader.com/2012/12/ot-remains-on-track-13-december-2013-.html

I would be using this pullback to add to longs if I wasn't in the market. I think we're eventually going to hit the 1,550 area within the next few months. I still see a pullback early next year though.

    2. Excessive bearishness at 25 year lows. I mean does it get any better than this? I'm now officially more bullish on this stock than just about any stock I've ever been bullish on in my life. The falling yen is the catalyst.

    3. Remeber when DIS was at 15 and nobody wanted it?

    5. Who is to say that SNE doesn't do an about face much like IBM back in the day or MCD in the mid 2000's or AAPL 10 years ago? A 10 bagger over the next 5 to 7 years? Why the f*ck not? They still make kick ass products.
