Every post I've made since 3 am has vanished into the ether.
Props to teamonfuego for having made the 'right' move last week. Does it not weem that every call vacillates between 'right' and 'wrong' over any 24 hour period?
[edit] 602 am: Given that any post I make gets lost, I'm going to start adding them to the lead. Note that TLT is actually bidding higher at the moment, despite the rally in US futures.
[edit] 616 am: Hulbert sees bearish/bullish signals for the 7 day/3 month time horizons, respectively: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/contrarian-indicator-offers-bearish-picture-2010-07-06?dist=beforebell
[edit] 628 am: WTF- the blog only 'allows' comments entered by shark.
[edit] 638 am: Joe Montana has moved back to SF:

Mark- Note that when you go to 'Edit Posts,' it displays '58 Comments' for yesterday, vs only '48 Comments' listed under yesterday's lead post.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Guys,
ReplyDeleteI played golf 3 times this weekend, 18 holes each time, in 95-100 degree heat this weekend and although I didn't score great; I shot mostly in the low-mid 80's I was hitting the shit out of the ball off the tee, really got my nice draw working and did some other nice things as well.
Still have a fair amount of PAL from Friday.
So this rally is really coming out of the blue eh?
out of the blue, and into the black
ReplyDeletet3d > thanks for that link to the chart of property values in Aussie, US, and Japan. I don't see any reason for real estate to rise any time soon in the US. We're currently at over 3 times annual income and the average has always been 3. I'd have to think that we will see below 3 times at some point in this downturn and I don't think the income side of things will be the one going up.
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like Aussie is in a huge bubble. I wonder what their overall ratio of price to income is.
by the way, to get my posts up on the blog i have to hit the "Post Comment" button twice every time. have had to do this for a while.
ReplyDeletetof - switching to Google Chrome (away from IE) may help. I had to give up on IE when posting to this blog.
ReplyDeleteKyle - I'm using Firefox.
ReplyDeleteOk, I now officially have too large of a position in PIR. Going balls out on it for whatever reason.
Avg is $6.10 for what its worth. We'll see what happens. Gonna hold it for long as its working.
ReplyDeleteSo the SPX is +1.5%, yet the yield on the 10-yr has dropped...
ReplyDeleteShot...I see even my comments today are going poof.
ReplyDeleteJust to keep things clean, I closed PXP @ 21.37. Have to take the 4.5%.
1040 again. I guess we should short here right? I'm not.
ReplyDeleteTOF- GL. Last night I commented that the one thing that scares me about PIR is the potential for tax selling for traders who played that one right from last year. Got get em!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning. I am not a web designer and have minimal knowledge of HTML, but rather than have long posts here you can use this TinyURL (hope it works) to see a quick posting on ECU.to

MarkW: your comment: "The protocol here is pretty simple. Just fade all of my trades :)."
I hope that is not true. Trading is not easy. If I do fade your trade, I will let you know first. Since you are most likely trading US stocks and I am trading Canadian stocks, the odds are low as I would only do that on inter-listed stocks, pink sheet or listed. Glad to see the humour in your comment.
I heard comments from "economists" that the Euro was "well priced", and something about an upbeat outlook on Greece. The upbeat was explained away pretty quickly though, so maybe this rally is a fader for most traders?
ReplyDeleteI don't plan on fading it, I believe it has a bit further to go considering my belief the Euro was thoroughly beat down...
My posts are experiencing difficulty as well, Firefox here.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't really bother me much...
PAL - I'm still very happy with my $3.13 entry, Sharkie got me in at a price that's hard to beat.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sharkie!
Hokey software. Mine says "Your comment was published" but I cannot see my comments. Maybe sharkie will grant us permission....???
ReplyDeleteSo my posts finally began showing up.
ReplyDeleteCI - TINYURL - It's not as if the copy/paste function doesn't work just fine as is, TINYURL only adds another step to the process.
I'm not being critical, just providing feedback. Feel free to use TINYURL if you prefer, I don't see the benefit from my perspective.
50/200dma cross today.
