David- Don't waste your time, bro. You're way past that point. You've found your own voice.
Life unfolds in stages. As I age, my aspirations at an earlier age often peel away like old paint. The old house, the old neighborhood, the old flame- look, some things gain in stature with time, the rest diminish with wisdom.
Turns out the setting for The Deer Hunter was Clairton, Pa. Not far from several of my childhood locations- Wilkinsburg, Monroeville, Fox Chapel. Heck, I even grew up on 'Mill Street.'
"Sorry, but it is what it is. I don't manage the process. We have systems and people that manage it for me. I have put my faith in them for over 7 years, and things have gone rather well."
Apparently, some of those "systems" people are reading this blog. If so, SPEAK UP here! No need to hide! And then DO let me know why you blocked my account on CC -- I have not broken any rules ON THAT site, right?
U$D downside target is 69.82, but I guess it needs to go up a little first, and that may be done but the inverse H&S neckline technical target is 78.93
Hopefully we've already seen the peak but if not that would be a good place to add.
I don't know Mark, up until now every single hickup seemed like the end of the road and in order to qualify, failed technical support in at least more than one way.
Assuming the dollar resumes the downside slide which I believe it will at some point, which way should we assume equities, commodities and PM's priced in dollars are likely to head?
I expect up for at least two of these, and probably all three, based upon the definition of a depreciating dollar.
No serious pain for me. Im in SPXU for 25% of port from 15.14. ALso long UXG again (underwater). Holding a good chunk of the VXX (underwater slightly) too. Tomorrow should be a good day it would appear. Looking for a re-entry in the long port so maybe tomorrow is it for unloading the SPXU and VXX.
I believe gold will reach $1600 by Labor Day, UXG chart looks primed for a northbound move. Not sure if miners will outperform but UXG downside risk is very low here IMO.
I won't go so far as to say gold will retain the $1600 level though, I wouldn't expect it to. Maybe it retains $1570, but I wouldn't bet on that either until we arrive there.
Welcome, PZ! What a good day to join, just when I found out that I was banned from caracommunity, AGAIN! When I inquired with Bill for the reason to ban me, that's what he replied:
**** I inquired because I did not know what was going on. This is the answer I got, and it is final:
Ignore it. This guy uses private messages to invite people to other blogs. He was blocked first time for posting links openly, then registered under the new name and continued doing so. Vad can give you details, but I don't think you should bother.

There was somebody a few weeks ago who inquired where 2nd_ave has gone to, and I decided to respond (so as to help that person make more informed decision in the market by reading someone else's opinions -- wasn't Bill saying that his goal is to help people navigate the treacherous waters of the market?). That was just ONE message I sent, and they caught onto it. They must be reading private e-mails on that site -- what a paranoia! Just like in the Soviet Union. No wonder Bill said that Vad knows the answers -- he must have followed the familiar KGB methods there...
If not for the escort past the guard station, where CNBC was playing around 1 pm (pst), I wouldn't even know if the close was red or green.

VNM - Yes, I think they devalued their currency. I guess they're not too worried about inflation in their attempt to attract manufacturing?
ReplyDeleteHey, if you guys want to maintain your CC accounts you've got to kiss a little butt once in a while. You know the rules!

ReplyDeleteDollar zoomed, perhaps tomorrow we finally get some closure?
ReplyDeleteLooks like the ES is headed for 1300 tonight.
ReplyDeletewow futures taking a bath.

TF - Stink bids on MITK might just be the order of the day... might I project, of the year.
ReplyDeleteThis WSJ article covers a lot of ground and does not mention Mitek but does show a movement towards cell phone transactions by banks.

OK, here's the deal. I'll take the pain tomorrow in the markets if the Sharks can pull this one out. Otherwise, PZ will have to take my place :)

Good to see all here who actually trade the game.
FCX - Load up when/if this morning's gap up closes, it may not even close...
ReplyDeleteUXG - Chart looks great.

ReplyDeletePZ- Just to get up to speed, I only have 2 positions on right now. 8K shares of BEXP and 20K shares of MITK.
ReplyDeleteGreen on both, but BEXP's reversal today didn't sit well. Especially given the strength in XLE.
Yeah, we actually trade prices here.
I'll be around fella's
ReplyDeleteGood night!
