I took FSLR off at $63.88, right before it ripped to $64.3. But it's back now below so I guess I'm happy with that although I might add it back since its doing well. Still holding LEJU, SNE, BALT, CYTX, ENSV, ESTE
I was a little early but back in March I was thinking that the dollar would strengthen substantially only because it was setting up much in the same way that nat gas was before its major spike. If we do get a massive move higher I think this will hurt US based stocks. That's part of why I've been focused so much on overseas stocks. My biggest holdings are LEJU and SNE. BALT was supposed to be a beneficiary of China coming back but that has fallen on its face so far. But they also have significant exposure to overseas trade.
I'm thinking if PIR breaks down below the base its building out I will buy it. That seems to be the best strategy on a lot of these stocks. I'll keep that note up for future reference.
Now that's a brief review! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to look at my port, hopefully it works out.
BXE - Showing some strength, I'm pleased! :)

ReplyDeletePicked up some FSLR again at $63.36
DeleteAdded at $63.19
DeleteAnother tranche at $62.98
DeleteAvg is $63.17. Its holding up better than the market so if the market does bounce this should go back up to $64. Will bail if we get no bounce.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I can't figure this out exactly b/c if the dollar strengthens seems like cash is the place to be until the dollar rally ends?
DeleteSPWR just feels like its gonna pop
ReplyDeletesold at 63.96
DeleteNot sure if you guys have noticed but a lot of apparel stuff is doing well lately. Makes me think retailers may be coming back? Look at the moves in:
ReplyDeleteDECK
CROX
SKX
JWN
UA
Even BBBY has been doing well. Makes me come back to the PIR idea again.
I noticed that too, was a nice negative campaign while it lasted. If these rock it's b/c energy gets hammered?

ReplyDeleteGEVO - I thought to myself yesterday this one would pop today, honest.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the bowls of hell.... Livermore.
ReplyDeleteMissing a 'e', but you knew that already.
DeleteYeah, Livermore, I used to avoid that place the same way I avoided East Palo Alto.
DeleteFlat, hot, and boring.
